Lora Taseva is a Professor at the Institute of Balkan Studies & Centre
of Thracology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and works at the
fields of Byzantine-Slavonic translated literature, history of
medieval Slavonic texts and of the Bulgarian language, bible studies
and historical onomastics. She is an author of two books and more of
100 scholarly articles, a coauthor of tree scientific editions of
medieval manuscripts.
 
The scientific interests of Lora Taseva are focused on the South
Slavonic Middle Ages. She works at the fields of Byzantine-Slavonic
translated literature, the manuscript tradition of Slavonic texts from
11th to 17th century, scientific editing of medieval codices, the
history of the Bulgarian language - especially lexicology and word
formation, Byzantine-Slavonic lexicography, bible studies and
historical onomastics.
